"Shortest Way" SW51 Amp Impressions (Simple SET Amp)

+1, in my ballpark for a change up from phonitor e, Crack and LNBM. I received LNBM from zampotech shipped from Russia just fine. Fairly quick and tracked with EMS...

 

I'm interested, pending price and logistics.

 

The estimated weight of the amplifier is 4 kg. the Exact value will be known after manufacture. For US, the shipping cost will be approximately $45 by airmail, and $55 by EMS courier

If you send six amplifiers to one address at once, the cost of sending six amplifiers will be $160 ($27 amplifier). In this case, the shipment is only Express EMS.

 

The development of the theme

The amplifier is quite large. Because of the large output transformers, its size is 190mm in width, 190mm in length and 125mm in height.

With new transformers bass should be magnificent, tight and bouncy. I am now testing the first version of the transformer, there is already a good result.

To be honest, there is no exact figure yet. But it will probably be in the range of $240-$270

Are you planing providing any warranty or amps will be sold "AS-IS"?

 

Definitely. Everything except the tubes. For NOS tubes guarantee can not give. On the tube NOS manufacturer's warranty ended a few decades ago.
Exchange a damaged amplifier for a new one within the first 12 months, if the defect was not due to mechanical damage or user intervention.
But always my product ( not necessarily amplifier) is tested in hot regime several tens of hours. A defective product usually dies within the first hours of testing.

 

From the looks of it, there are two outputs for different impedances. I'm guessing with the lower gain that the potentiometer doesn't have to be uber expensive but I'm willing to pay more just to get something quality like rk27

 

Damn you, @Zampotech! If I hadn't bought your last NBM, I'd be all over this. Wonder if my wife would notice two of these in the living room while I decide which one to keep and which one to sell

Very good wish, but probably it will be as a separate option. We have ALPS RK27 expensive, about $34. On aliexpress they are cheaper, but I'm afraid of fakes

PS.Was formerly the optimal resistor RK18. He combined quality RK27 and had cost about $12. Unfortunately its release was discontinued.

 

I like the Audio Note pots. One may be able to get a good price in volume.
