I haven't heard and trinity iems and haven't really read much about them. Nothing from them has peaked my interest for whatever reason and I don't have a path to borrow one either.

I might get to hear Celeste. A HF friend might be willing to loan to me when he gets it. I like the FLC8S, so very interested to see if it can be improved upon.

There's a couple of iems in development I'm interested in but can't really say anything.

I am interested to hear how EE implements the Adel modules. I wasn't a fan of the tuning 64 Audio went with but then again 64 Audio just admitted they designed their old Adel line-up to work with stage belt packs that are 20~25 ohms of output impedance. That large amount of OI reduces their bass amplitude. With less than 1 OI, the 64 stuff was way too bassy for me.

Kinda want to hear those ugly planar Audeze iems. Otherwise, I don't know much else coming out on the horizon. Oh, I did buy the iBasso IT03 over the weekend.

Those it03s are pretty hyped over in hf land. Looking forward to impressions and comparison to the andro. Think the andro will be my next purchase seeing that i habe a zx2 now

The only iem that I have owned from your list is vsonic gr07mkii. Last week I received my first custom iem, jh13 pro v2. It's too early to say just how good it is but I'm surprisingly impressed with the performance.

I've auditioned the IT03 on three separate occasions now.

They are certainly good performers at the given price range, but unlike what you may come across occasionally on Head-fi, I certainly don't think they come close to the CFA Andromeda.

Andromeda is superior in every aspect except in the bass department, and even then it's a toss up between preferences.

Very interested to hear SGS take on the IT03.

Going for all the bass; I'd expect nothing less!

JH13 freqphase was a very solid iem. I didn't quite get along with something in the treble but the 3D presentation was very impressive. Bass was a lot of fun too.

You can always look for used IEMS, especially the classifieds here. Good, no usually great deals, and not much concern about being scammed.

I'd also suggest going to meets, or if you are fortunate, go to a local store that carries such things.

Just be careful reading reviews, and make sure you know what you like, who's doing the review, and if you have ever heard anything the said reviewer reviewed. If you have, see if it is close to your thoughts, if not, find a different reviewer.

While I love a value/performance gem like the 650, I haven't really come across many of them. I usually spend too much time in mid-fi hell before my disappointment kicks in and I buy what makes me happy. The problem for me with many of these mid-fi iem wasn't the sound, it was the seal. Customs gave me the perfect fit and the jh13 gave me my preferred signature. Now I can quit dicking around and enjoy my iems like I've always wanted.

Yeah I've pm'd him for his thoughts on the Spartans vs UERMs about a week ago. Reshelling is at least $100, and so are impressions. Then there's shipping costs as well to bring into the equation. If I decide to sell them afterwards, I'd be out of that $200 or so. Reselling the universal wouldn't be as bad.

I'm more interested in the Perfect Seal offerings right now, but I thought the Spartans would be an easy buy/sell as universals.

$475 is a good price for the uni. Cheapest I've seen so far. Not sure I'd pay that to someone unknown without feedback though.

Very keen to hear your impression on IT03. I read review on HF and it says that IT03 has similar sound sig as Andro but more elevated bass and treble. Orion is often called baby Andro and if IT03 beats Orion then I would be very keen. :)

+1 on this. I was also keen on @FlySweep 's Spartan. I saw both his and the other guy's selling at $475 but Flysweep's one look nicer and it has full pack without missing any accessories.
@thegunner100 Have you considered converting his custom Spartan to universal shell? It costs around $150 so can be a good option. I am based in AU so it was a lot more logistics involved. If you are based in USA, might be good option and there is no question about FlySweep's trustworthiness... :)

@shotgunshane Please share your impressions of the iBasso IEMbro. Read good things, but not from anyone I trust.

Will do. However Penon Audio will not receive stock until next week, so it'll be probably 2 weeks before I receive it.

1/ the Radius line from japan sure got tyll's ear at the recent rock mtn music fest, such that he asked the company
send them their entire line to review....heard anything from their series, Shotgunshane, or other?

''Were it not for my next post, the Radius IEM display would have been my scoop of the day. As I surfed the entire line-up of IEMs ranging in price from $100 to $450 I was stunned by the consistently neutral and pleasing sound bottom to top. Their flagship Wn4 dual driver IEM couples a beryllium coated TPE electro-dynamic driver for mids and lows with a piezoelectric ceramic tweeter able to deliver high frequency extension to a claimed 45kHz, allowing it to be Hi-Res Audio certified. The sound was smooth and very well balanced. I asked them to send me everything they had. This is good stuff.''

2/....i have the flc 8s....the campfire andromeda sure looks interesting as an upgrade...
has anyone on here tried both, and is the sound 2-3x the upgrade to match the price?

my sources, dragonfly red, iFi micros idsd, chord mojo

I haven't heard any of the Radius iems. I know their old stuff trended to be bassy but good by all impressions. However their build quality was sketchy. Hopefully they've improved that. Good to see more high end dynamic driver iems coming out.
