Better than FLC also? in my experience, only FLC that has a good coherency, maybe their tuning system help them a bit...

The worst hybrid implementation in my opinion is K3003.

I wasn't a bug fan of the flc8s at all. Not too mention, way too many combinations drove me crazy.

How is the build quality of the Wn4 holding up? Do you have many hours on them?

I had a listen to a pair at a show, and really enjoyed them, but remembered some faint misgivings about Radius' build quality, so held off snagging a pair until I could find out more.

Agreed, the FLC8s was mediocre for me, with a kind of core tuning that worked for the drivers used and therefore only a few of the possibilities were really in alignment with the best sound for the iem.

I liked the k3003, but the difference between the drivers was easily audible. It was something I noted for sure, but other people didn't hear it as a problem. I could see the roughness of the treble being more of an issue for other people.

I'd say yes but the FLC8S was pretty good too. I preferred the gold, clear, clear setup if I remember correctly.

Oh there have have been far worse. I enjoyed the K3003 tone but the slowish bass did sound different from the pristine treble, however that didn't dimish my enjoyment of it. Take the Astrotec AX60; it's bass timing was behind the mids and treble of the balanced armatures. Music sounded like it was tripping over its bass that lagged behind a few milliseconds.

The akg has slow bass? That's really a surprise. I thought they would be quick. When I first joined HF someone recced then as basshead IEMS for me, so glad I didn't listen.

@Kunlun- Chris, have you heard the Noble Encores yet?

I just received PM4 today. I will burn in for 24 hours but my 1st 10 min listening impression is decent but not as impressed as ER4SR or Rockets. There are two things that were impressive to me. One is huge selection of accessories. 3 removable cables (cable quality is actually very good), hard carry case, 90 degree angle adapter (1st time I have seen this come as accessory) and all sorts of ear tips and filters etc. It is quite overwhelming given the price paid for. Second thing is that it has surprisingly HUGE soundstage. The downside is that it sounds a bit artificial & shouty overall. Will burn in and listen more later.

The AX60 was awful. It was the turd floating in the pool of iems.

Can anyone recommend me an IEM for Alternate Rock? Specifically looking for something to listen to Linkin Park. Currently considering Rosie, Roxanne or Vega

Please introduce yourself here first before asking for advice or recommendations.

Second, whats your budget? What source will you be using? Is isolation a priority?

See here for some suggestions for rock.

Thanks for the new members into link. I was searching for it and couldn't find it. Source will be LG G5 w/ B&O DAC. I am looking for something to complement my current U12. Budget is around 500-600. Looking for used or new gear. Rosie is in high consideration because it's priced 800 right now which is a little above my budget but I can accommodate.

Rosie has an ugly upper mid suckout. If you can find a used Angie, It's a much better alternative.

Hi @Warrior. I am usually go for neutral sound sig but I want one IEM that is bass oriented. Since it will not be my main IEM, keen to try Xb90ex. You mention that it is power hungry. What do you pair it with if you don't mind asking?

I got an offer to trade my Angie II for Rhapsodio Galaxy. Do you think I should accept it

have you had the chance to listen to the fitear fostex uiem collab... that is even more laid back and chill than the oriolus, it's one of those "if it's right, everything is wrong." type of sound sig. it's voiced like a big speaker in a carpeted room

I have to say, now that I've had more ear time with the Audio-Technica ATH-LS200, it's gotta be one of the best BA universals in its price price bracket. I like it more than the LS300 and LS400.

Close to neutral FR without anemic bass or annoying treble spikes -- check
    Decent treble extension -- check
Large, phase-correct center image -- check
Very slight bit of vocal warmth -- check
    "soundstage" feels unbounded -- check
    Genre-versatile -- check
    Super comfortable shape -- check

The ONLY negative I can really say about it is that I'd personally take down the bass a teeny-tiny bit, and the bass extension and depth of impact is not on the level of earphones with big huge CI drivers or DTEC drivers, but for its form factor (a Sonion 2300 stacked with an E25ST), it's good enough. I can hear some bass distortion at high volumes, but I'm not bothered.

The new A2DC plugs are pretty good too.

I'm totally enamoured with them. If I weren't dead broke from multiple airplane trips and a pending engagement/wedding, I'd buy them on the spot.

You can pair it with a high end phone, lgv10 or v20 and it sounds decent. It really goes better amped though. Even put of my Cowon P1, sounds very good, but again better with an amp. I prefer my headstage arrow 5tx or Cayin C5. You may also want to try the Radius NHR 21, which is similar to the Sony but amp not needed, so it's a bit more versatile.
