Sold: Stellaris

Looking to let go my of Stellaris. I haven't been using it and moving toward speakers so trying to let someone here who would enjoy it more take it. It has Acme 2A3s, Elrog 5U4G (with a Friend here but can ship to you), and stock 6N1P. This is the model that has both SE and Balanced inputs and both use the Audio Note Input Transformers.

I would prefer to do a local meetup to avoid shipping in case of damage in the shipping process, so will keep this local to the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) for a week before opening it up to shipping in the CONUS.

Friends Only for now. I am looking for $8000 or if shipped $8000 + shipping. Not sure if this is an accurate price as these don't come up often, but will leave there for now and will adjust accordingly.

 

Based on the serial number I suppose this is > a year in two in age, and thus without the Audio Note input and out transformers? Or am I just plain wrong ?

 

That is my bad, this has Audio Note Balanced Input Transformers for the Balanced Inputs, and has the Audio Note Output Transformers. This was bought and delivered to me June 2021.

For reference, I have his Elrog. Whoever buys the amp, PM me your shipping address and I'll send it to you no cost if you're in the lower 48. If you're elsewhere, we can work it out via PM, but it's pretty much going to be whatever it costs me to ship to you.

Also, $8k is within reason for this given that the dual input version is more $ and current wait times are supposed to be 1yr+ (no blame or fault on Donald given everything going on recently, just saying that it's long). That and the ELROG + ACMEs are about $1500 together.

 

Having tested all sorts of input transformers including rare core ones, the audio note inputs while expensive are really top notch and get out of the way. Other options had lower resolution or colored the sound taking away from the magic of the Stellaris.

P.S the Elrog 5U4G is the only rectifier anyone needs, superior to 422A.

 

I've had the chance to listen to a Stellaris while working on my 800, and I really liked it, more than the Apex Teton. Awesome amp!
