Heh, had my order for new pads for my pair in since April of last year now I think. Hopefully if they are being made now in Ireland, that explains the long ass delay for me.

Yeah. It seems insane to have to account for both serial numbers AND pair to pair variations. Good on @ext1 for taking on modding cans with that level of inconstancy, would drive me nuts.

Yeah, I found that it can't handle sibilant tracks any better than the 6x0/800, those two actually fare better, 6x0 with tonality and 800 with sheer resolving power.

And just think of the total audio system you could get with the money you'd spend on HE1. Heck, I could get all the super TOTL stuff I'd personally get with that money and still have cash leftover to blow on whisky and cigars

I felt the same when I tried the HE1. Much prefer the old HE90.

What are you upgrading from? I didn’t think DACs mattered until I moved from the Modi 1 to Bifrost 2, then wow.
