So, the consensus seems to be that the UERR is warmer than the UERM; would you say that the TG334 has a similar midrange/treble tone to the UERR or UERM? I have demoed the universal UERM and liked the overall sound but wished there was more bass and was hoping the TG334 would fit the bill.

    Hi mechgamer123,

Midrange in the TG! 334 is more forward and organic compared to the UERR and UERM. If you listen to a lot of female vocal, the TG! 334 should be more suitable for you. Treble is less emphasized also in the TG! 334.

TG! 334 has an emphasized bass response so I think if you desire more bass this should be better.

However I feel that if you're a fan of neutral/monitoring sound, the UERR and UERM is a better fit.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,
    Jeremiah

The TG334 has a relaxed upper mid, especially relative to its lower mid, so I don't think it's as good with female vocals as I do for male. I greatly prefer better frequency response 2~4K for female vocals.

I think UERR/UERM plays at different segment here, UE targeted to people who search for monitoring purpose, while TG334 (which advertised to be monitoring iem too) targeted to people who love to "tracking" the vocal performances..

I do thing that very hard to replace TG334 when it comes to mid/vocal performance, altough its quite "coloured", it seems fitear do the great job at TG334, not overly coloured, the timbres and tones are still doing "right" and the organic feels are really hard to find in other IEM.

I've had a pair of UERR since the end of January. I haven't used them for monitor mixes yet and my listening time has been limited.

My initial impressions are that the UERR are a very nice IEM. I do find them to be reference quality and would trust them as such. I don't find the bass to be over-emphasized nor do I think the treble lacks definition.

My Oppo PM-3's and HD600's have better transient response, soundstage, and have better treble frequency response. I find the HD600's to have a similar treble response to the UERR's but do sound better. Some people criticize the HD600's treble response for not being bright/forward enough and I disagree with that criticism. I think that the UERR's can be favourably compared to two very nice sounding reference headphones is a great achievement for an IEM.

My Westone ES-2's, while a neutral IEM, are not as refined acoustically nor as detailed in the transient response. The UERR have relegated my ES-2's to stay at home in storage while the UERR's come to work with me.

I have not heard any other CIEM's to compare the UERR's to. But I don't think I will be replacing the UERR's for many, many years. I can see them being a productive reference tool for my work for a long time.

Unfortunately my fit was not 100%, they are a bit too long and cause me eardrum pain the day after using them. I am sending them back to UE for fit correction this week. I am looking forward to mixing with them when they return.

@VooX do you have to use a amp with your phone or are they able to give high listening volume without it?

@kirayamato Good question. I find the UERR just fine to listen to on my iPhone. I have never maxed out the phone's volume as it would be much too loud and may cause PTS or TTS.

The UERR's are less sensitive than my Westone ES-2's are. I listened to the ES-2's on an iPhone 5, iPhone 4, and iPhone 3. I always had the volume between 30-40%, depending on what I was listening to. My UERR's were around the 50% volume level on my iPhone 5. I haven't tried either on my iPhone 6S.

Apparently the UE line drive is a big improvement. Trying to borrow Christian's to report back.

It's actually pretty good out of an iPhone, but terrible out of a Leckerton

How does that work? I thought the Leckerton's supposed to be a good amp.

It's a fantastic amp for more IEMs. It was a bad match for the UERRs

I'd be beyond surprised if any custom popped out of your ear. I'm not sure Id' want to use it during cardio.

Because sweat isn't great for the internal filters or the cables or the acrylic. Plus there is bone conduction from the sounds of your feet hitting the ground. Lastly - you want something with a little more bass to help out with the thumping of your feet hitting the ground.

Why wouldn't the UERR be ok with the Leck? Wthout explanation I have to take that with a. grain of salt. The UERM was all about low OI. Although I have to say I didn't like it at all with the treble happy Go V2+.

Mine UERR will arrive next week, along with my UERM being shipped back. Can't wait for the comparisons to come. Time to move on to some dynamic driver hunting soon.
