Anyone buy one of these fancy SNES remakes from Analogue?

    https://www.analogue.co/super-nt/

I’d be interested in buying yours if you have one and have lost interest.

MegaSG > Super NT. If doing ROMs you must get a FPGA flash cart for the custom cartridge chips.

I was only interested in a few games so I was going to avoid ROMs and just look for the original carts.

I mean...I can make one with a Raspberry Pi, Retro Pi emulator, and a couple of wired remotes. I think I built one for a friend for like $100 in parts. Extra if you want a retro looking case.

Although that was with a Pi Nano. Although that required a few extra parts including some 3D printed parts I had to buy. But here is mine I built with a Pi Nano in an NES case.

Or better yet, I can teach someone how to do it. Retro Pi does most of the heavy lifting.

I’ve been looking at the Analog Super NT off and on ever since it launched, what a cool piece of hardware. I’m just not sure I’d use it enough to warrant actually purchasing one.

Good luck finding one though Boops, are they not selling new ones anymore? Most just say sold out on their store, not discontinued.

Super NT are sold out ATM, but they brought back the Black Super NT about two months ago. It is a very popular item, once Covid-19 stops being uber crazy they will bring it back most likely. It was around this time they were supposed to release the Analogue Pocket, which I have high hopes for.

Once you do FPGA it is really hard to do emulation for the same system on a main setup. I have my MegaSG next to me jailbreak and it is amazing in 1080p once you set it up right. Hardware accuracy is top notch Then again, I don't collect carts since the Retro Market is too stupid on prices now and screw the scalpers.

Thanks for the offer @rtaylor76 byt I was interested in the FPGA and ease-of-use angle of the Analogue. I’ll probably wait for the re-up if I do t find one in the meantime.
