How strong is that? Did stuff move and shake around? I've never felt more than a tremor that felt like somebody grabbed my chair for a moment. Even that is freaky.
6,3 is fairly moderate on the fire belt scale where Philippines are standing. Depending on the building standards of your house, things can go from moving a bit, to becoming ballistic missiles.
@Jinxy245 haha, family, self, and pets all come first. The knickknacks are a fairly distant, "if we can manage it" second. @Mdkaler@Thad E Ginathom pets are alright, most of em slept through it though there was definite motion. Dizzying, and chandelier nearly dropped. Yes we have one XD
@frenchbat the old girl (house) is ancient, she's survived a lot. More likely the stuff inside will get messed up but unless it's a massive one no major damage expected.
Felt like I was trying to keep balance on an exercise ball for a bit. Definitely could get worse, as per @GoodEnoughGear. Fingers crossed.
You should only really be worrying when you can't walk anymore during the tremor. Old building usually have some give and wood helps keeping things together, until the big one comes.
Thanks! Yeah we've actually been doing a lot of maintenance lately, on top of the new supervillain gate. One major stressor lately has been keeping tabs on contractors, hah.
Do you know of the use of pencil eraser blocks placed under turn-tables in audio? That is a thing. It actually works well enough to try with other equipment as long as you know how much the eraser blocks can carry under a plank of wood.
Sounds silly, kind of works with similar materials like rubber mats under cutting boards in kitchens. Think about it...
Also, another earthquake earlier today apparently. Southern Philippines this time, about 1500km off from me. Still pissing distance as far as these go, agh.
