I'm not very familiar with Tool but I imagine they must make good music for how long they've been around. That said, I'm actually impressed by all the talk about their new album in the shout box.
Aside from 7empest this album is a dud. I mean, I get how playing in neato 13/8 and 5/4 and 7/4 time signatures has become Tool's schtick, but seriously, if that's the only novelty they capture why not just go back and listen to Trout Mask Replica? Lateralus, FTW. It's not "great music" if the only thing you're surprised by is which 1/8th note are they gonna not palm mute this time through the riff.
Napoleon was dynamite. France revolted, he won many battles and became emperor while Europe was on the brink of collapse. Even when banished people still loved him. He fucked up and the French still wanted him to go to Waterloo.
Also Tool fans talk about Tool, we cannot help it. Sorry for that.
