Blink-182 fans rejoice! Two new songs dropped today.

    I'm not crying, you're crying.

Blink-182 + Boxcar Racer vibes for me here. Sure missed Tom's riffs in their last couple albums.

The live recordings of Momma Sed and Vagina Mine are absolutely stellar. I always come back to this EP to listen to them and drool.

Amazing remix of the great Tim album by The Replacements. Remixes don't always work, but this is light years better than the original muddy release.

Bob, you'd be well serviced to do a deep dive on their entire catalog (Creaks, original game soundtrack is highly recommended) and then a further dive into some of the constituent artists like Poppy Ackroyd. Often the remix albums are more entertaining than the originals (which usually isn't the case for others!). And their 2019 live album is super, too. Tons of great music from an interesting take on a mash up of genres.

One thing that really hits hard is the disturbing sounds on Broken. There is the feeling of a presence, a low frequency exhaust modified car idling outside the house, but it is really on the recording!!!

And it takes something like Studio B or Mjolnir 3 and HD800-JAR to experience this to the disturbing levels possible.

I was listening to Cripple Creek by The Band, and Wharf Rat by the Grateful Dead.

Not the first time I've been aware that such songs feature run-down old guys, optionally drunk, fantasising about women whose only purpose in life is to wait for them to turn up one day. So they can go on getting drunk, but with a nurse.

    None the less, great music.

And, if I ever get off of this mountain*, I know where I'm going to go...

*What mountain? WTF was he doing there? What was stopping him getting off it? We'll never know.

I always presumed coal mining in the Shenandoah Mountains. Maybe forced labor?

Edit: I used to enjoy Wharf Rat more in high school when I though the lyric was "I love my Pearly Baker best, more than my wife" but he's saying "more than my wine", which is a disappointing statement from a drunkard.
