You can always lurk around the used market until bw pops up. In any case, 'significantly better' should be defined more clearly though.

"Significantly" obviously is subjective, but to me means a noticeable step up in transparency (to source) while also enhancing synergistic qualities of Auteur. If that is too vague, think I need to audition more amps to know what I really want.

Not that I'm unhappy with Lyr 3, but want to know which SS amp (no tube rolling) would be considered by those more knowledgable to be an appreciable upgrade for the money and not side-grade for can like Auteur. BW mentioned, any others?

BW has a bit better slam and more pleasing/organic tone. And has solid synergies with zmf dynamics (eikon, atti, aeo, atr). But still think lyr 3 is a tad more transparent -- resolving more accurate volume gradations and micro-details in less biased ways. So maybe not a clear upgrade.
