  Stupid question... Is there any advantage to RCA -> BNC over an RCA -> RCA cable? Eitr feeding Gungnir Multibit. Thanks.

    if your Gungnir Multibit's coax is used by one source like a cd player, you can use the RCA --> BNC adapter to plug the Eitr into your Gungnir Multibit's BNC input. Monoprice makes a $0.99 adapter

    I think that the purist point of view is that digital coax RCA cables are all wrong, because the cable may be right, but the connector is never the correct impedance. BNC, on the other hand, is purpose-designed. Adapters are not going to right the wrong.

    Correct me if that is all tosh! I have never had the need/opportunity to use the "right" digital cable/terminations.
    
    Generally, though, even for analogue cables, I regard RCA as an unfortunate accident of history which audio got stuck with. Of course, in practice... I just shut up and use them!

    HD650, Blackwoods, and Slants. Trying to figure out which to keep between the Blackwoods and Slants. But I get quickly exhausted going back and forth between any components, listening to gear instead of music. I'm glad I have you guys to do all the heavy lifting for me. =)

    Ah Blackwoods are nice, very unique sound with all that subbass. I sold them to take a flier on the Eikon, I hope I don't regret it, but I miss them. Never heard the slants I'm jealous.
    
    Meeting with the guy in person at a smaller meet next weekend. He's letting me listen before we seal the deal, which is amazing. I have a hard time imagining a scenario where I don't walk out with the Zana
