Espresso has a lot of caffeine in it. Can’t compare to french press and the kind. Limiting intake might be a good idea.

If you're in it for the experience, perhaps something less concentrated might suit you better. I much prefer the scent of coffee to to its taste (and I do love drinking it, mind). In an effort to keep from ODing I consume maybe 0.5L of weaker daily brew across a couple hours. Different rules for good stuff though.

Contrary to popular belief, a double shot of espresso has less caffeine than a cup of drip coffee, but obviously is more concentrated. You probably have to either find a way to drink it slower or find a different caffeinated drink.

Sorry to hear that, especially if you enjoy Espresso. I actually don't drink my coffee for the caffeine, but for the taste. Rationing does sound like a good idea.

Whenever my coffee intake starts causing trouble I take a break for a week or so... this seems to help my body "reset". First few days aren't very fun but depending on your level of dependency you may level out pretty quickly.

I drank half of the time for the caffeïne. I think my digestive system had enough. No more coffee. Smoothies and tea for me. I need to improve my diet.

I take 100 ml shot of espresso, so probably decent amounts of caffeine. I like the thick stuff too.
