I've used them all throughout the years and Google Play was the best at recs. Apple Music continues to be the worst. I just keep it for convenience for the wife and kids.

@DigMe How's the lossless quality for Google Play? I was using Spotify for recommendations and then finding the albums/tracks on Tidal.

I really enjoyed the SQ of Qobuz but they didn't have available all of the genres that I listen to.

Google play isn't lossless, but I concur I really like their recommendation system over Tidal/Qobuz. Roon does a far better job of recommending than those two as well.

Considering how much Google knows about us, it is not surprising.

Got YouTube Music recently, have to agree that these are the best recommendations I've gotten yet, haha— the service brings to attention some obscure tracks I end up really liking, always fun.

Sound quality for YT Music is... passable. Haven't A/Bed but I'd say inferior to Spotify (I read it's 192kbps max). Eh, it's fine for discovery and casual listening

I worked with the Google Play Music team at the beginning (a lot of the brains were part of an acquisition) and they are, by far, the biggest, most passionate music nerds I've met and the recommendations reflect that. The whole team is YT Music now.
