I feel asleep during first season. Does it get better? The guy who tries to channel a pathetic Johnny Depp got on my nerves.

I, too, couldn't get through more than a couple episodes. Doom Patrol gripped me much more.

Second one is faster and tighter paced. If you did not like the first one, I doubt the second season will change your mind. Doom Patrol is next up after Dark.

I too enjoyed Umbrella Academy S2, was surprised people I thought would like the show did not - even if we shared viewing prefs. Dark - now there's a show where you really need to pay attention. Loved it (German w/subs).
