UPS used to be dandy for me, but nowadays they just leave the note and take it to a pickup location. Not the worst thing that can happen but inconvenient for sure
I can't stand it! I had a Canada Post guy who marks signature-required packages as delivered while they're still in the truck and he's on the way. I met him half a long-block away a few times and he stopped doing it. Grrr.
I actually hate signature releases, unless I specifically request it or it's a loaner (which gearmasters/the personal loaner themselves should set the rules) from SBAF, since it means I usually have to go to the store to go pick it up bc they never try to redeliver or I can't trust them to. I'm lazy ChaCha. Throw my personally-bought $1K DAC on my doorstep and let it sit there for hours. I ain't scuured.
Sometimes I get signature release packages sent to the nearest Fed/UPS Walgreens/CVS pick up point. They are usually open quite late if not 24hrs here in SoCal
Nothing like that ever happens here. Int'l couriers usually call in advance to make sure you're there before coming, or call to tell me they've left it with the doorman. Domestic stuff just arrives and gets signed for.
