We went from pads to how much I am willing to spend on t00bs.

The pads that came with the used HD800 were worn and leaving black rings around my ears and top of my bald head, seller took care of new set. Also new ear pads appear thinner and cut down on treble raspiness

The headband "cushion" is crap. The foam must be really cheap.It is thin to begin with, and just sort-of disappears in a very few years, leaving a sweat-impregnated strip of fabric.
