Probably either charge them for the fix or maybe it was a more nefarious plot to rob them. First guy immediately went up to them to let them know they had a flat tire. Said he had tools to help, held up a black plastic bag. Stepdad told him to piss off, when he left a lady came up and repeated same thing.
https://i.imgur.com/6CrvkVp.jpg Looks like they stuck a small metal rod into a bottle cap and put it under the tire. Took 20ft for the car to tell them low tire pressure. The fact they swoped in almost immediately shows they were watching them.

Scammers took like a metal rod and cut it to a point and then stuck it in a bottle cap. Parents are all good, seemed like it might have just scammers trying to hustle them
