$950 on the Sony ZR1 - with the following caveats/predicates:

• They are the complete retail package (boxes, et.al.) and include the 4.4mm "Pentaconn" balanced cable.
• If I hate them, no one here bitches that I flip them at a profit (at least 50% of which will come back to SBAF as a donation).
• If I do elect to sell them, they'll be offered back to any SBAF friend/contributor at the same price I paid.
• You can ship them on Monday, for Wednesday AM delivery, at my expense.

 

I never understood why someone would bitch about this. Once you own it, it's none of my damn business what you do with it.

@Marvey If things don't sell, you should just put them on ebay. Can sell fast that way. Do that with the S19. I don't think anyone here wants to buy the S19.

It's something I am sensitive to.

While I do not, personally, care what someone does with something I sell them (I wouldn't have completed the transaction if I wasn't happy with it as it stood), we're talking about a broader array of contributor/friend funds in this case. Getting a $2,299 headphone for under $1,000, which was purchased with contributor/friend donations, and with a relatively easy resale over $1,500 (anywhere else) calls for some level of consideration to those involved.

While the general SBAF membership might not value the Z1R (f**k it) anywhere near what Sony ask for it, or what is goes for on Hype-Fi, that doesn't genuinely devalue it. So, I specify caveats and considerations as to how I might deal with it in the likely (I dropped out of the tour) event that I don't want to keep it.

 

For $100 less than I offered ... well, okay then.

 

Ill take that Geek Out cable.
