Isnt it the other way round? Lotoo is the OEM for Nagra if im not mistaken.

 

Okay so the QP1r folks wrote me. Rather than bugging them, though, I wanted to ask here: Is there an easy way to lock (my phone wanted to correct that to "lick") the screen/buttons? I like that for travel listening.

I'm almost sure it still has an output z at 2 ohm and will still require an external amp and will be a pointless product.

Hmm, a secondhand A&K Jr that is still under warranty (been used for 4-5 months) shows up on local ad today, priced firm at about $388. Super tempting.
Will it drive < 50 ohm cans properly though? (such as Grados or... heck, that tempting K181 from Massdrop perhaps)
--I'm going to need a portable setup soon but honestly I don't like the idea of carrying stack of DAP+amp+whateverelse around.

 

AK seems to be releasing like as if they're part of mobile business with every 9-12months for a new model and claiming to sound even more superior than it ever was.

Still can't forgive them for making that original AK100 with that 22 OI, and dared to say to who anyone who modded through RWA is risky.

 

The LH Wave has really been taking a long time.

I had a customer service issue that took maybe 50 emails over several months to end up with promises from several people at LH that it was resolved...

Only to receive emails later showing that they hadn't resolved it.

I'm not looking forward to them getting it wrong.

Well the bigger problem here is there is no 'fixed' rate for import fees, just depend on what is the mood of the customs officer handling your stuff that day. Could be $5 because it's his birthday, could be $150 because he wants a new iPhone. Sucks eh.

Ah, still the question though: is this 'cheapest A&K yet' got enough power to drive low number ohms cans? I'm going to really hate myself if I buy a device costing that much that turns out only viable for IEMs.

Geek Wave definitely makes me regret ever jumping on the campaign. And puts me off any other kickstarter-esque campaign.
