Elex and Eclair discussion thread

I loved the Elex I got from @ColtMrFire
It makes really crappy modern compressed metal sound real good. Laid back chain works well though, really fun out of piety and BF2 OG and just as good out of Jot 2 if not better. It doesn't do those magic mid things HD650/HD600 do, on older great more audiophile analog based recordings I still would never reach for it. Stuff like Megadeth last 2 albums actually sound good on Elex where on Senns it actually sucks.

 

I'm a bit late to this party, but the crazy $500 price tag got me in the door. Only been a few days with the Elex, but so far I'm very impressed. I'm an EQ junky, so I'm surprised by the fact that EQ does almost nothing to improve these headphones. Most surprising, they're bassier sounding than FR measurements suggest. To my ear, they sound great as they are.
