Didn't have the time to think up a proper full-length essay, was too swamped with assignments. I did think that someone else would hit on the idea though.

 

Sorry, didn't mean that to sound discouraging. Unless you have sour grapes about the Element*, write it up anyway! There is always room for more comedy.

Hah no worries I've already got my hands full with the Bifrost Multibit anyway. If I did enter and win I would probably have given it to a friend who needed/would have liked a mid-fi DAC.

Thank you and I hope so too but I'm sure since you know how to listen to music for MUSIC, not for background NOISE you probably already are where you want to be with whatever gear you already have. More time with LIVE UNAMPLIFIED MUSIC, not some PMx2s or whatever would actually be my wish for all and most of the hi-fi nonsense will then disappear on its own.

Would actually be nice to see a poll with at least a thousand votes to get an idea of how often members here get to experience unamplified live music these days.
