I purchased these speakers on sale from DesignerAudioVideo for $1,100 in 2017. I no longer have the original box, but these seem to fit securely into the packaging for the Massdrop x JBL LSR30X, so I will ship in that box.

I purchased this unit from the original owner on Audiogon in 2017 for $800. Many positive reviews online sing this unit’s praises as a very capable multi-format audio disc player (CD, SACD, DVD-A, etc.) as well as an excellent 3D BluRay player. The 105D “Darbee Edition” is somewhat rare and has extras that improve audio playback capabilities.

This unit will ship in the original factory box with the original remote, power cable, papers, etc.

The Oppo is also great if you want to rip SACDs. It’s one of the few SACD players that has been cracked to provide this capability.

I still use my first-generation PS3 to rip SACDs, but once it gives up the ghost, I have an Oppo BDP-105 waiting in reserve.

Oh thank dawg, that pair of aegirs was whispering sweet temptations into both ears and ridiculous images of monoblocked LS50's danced in my head. It's strange how the overkill system sometimes seems more tempting than the reasonable one.

Hi @Carlos CPA did the LS50's run ok on 2 Aegirs by chance ?

 

Yes, I’d say so. I ran the LS50s off monoblock Aegirs with two REL T5 subs wired via the speaker-level Neutrik speakON jack inputs. Sounded great, but I found myself listening to headphones more (Stellaris into Utopia is intoxicating).

I’d gladly sell the two REL T5 subs as well, but I can’t seem to find the boxes, and I think they may cost a lot to ship properly. Happy to entrain any offers for local pickup near Baltimore, MD.

 

Funny you mention the subs I was thinking of a couple of those myself sometime down the line. Unfortunately I'm to far away.
