FS: SW51+ w/extra tubes and Focal Elex w/extra pads/cables/headstrap

Due to an unplanned DNA sonnett 2 purchase I now need to pay for, I'd like to sell my most unused stuff.

SW51+ was purchased from Clemmaster and Elex from ColtMrFire.

The amps faceplate was damaged during shipping and I replaced it with a brand new no kitty faceplate I got from zampotech usa. There's also a small ding in the back near the power inlet. Amp was always flawless in operation. Includes stock tubes and a matched pair of Mazda branded Mullard tubes. I paid $357 shipped for the amp and $31 shipped for the tubes. $388 net and I'll cover shipping.

Elex were pretty minty when I got them and I didn't put many hours on them. I'd rate them 8/10 conservatively, was surprised how new they were when they arrived. Pads are in good to great shape with an extra set included I never used. I also added a snap on head strap to keep the felt nice on the headband. These are not moldy or worn on the headband at all. I have an audiophile ninja cable, XLR amp side..Have original 2 cables and retail packaging. Paid $350 shipped for them, $78 for the cable and $12 for the headband cover. $425 net and I'll cover shipping.

I have detailed photos of both, keeping it to friends and contributors and CONUS. Interested parties pm me with email and I'll send photos. Finally I'm having surgery Monday the 24th so unless these sell by this Sunday, I'll probably be unable to ship for at least a week or so after the 24th.

Steal at $357 for the SW51+. To my ears this thing stomps any tube dac or solid state under $2k. And I've unfortunately have had enough gear through my desk to test them all against the shortest way.

 

Cmon guys, this SW51+ needs to stay in the fam, this is like our own community, affordable af, excellent-sounding SET amp…

at $375, the only question you should have is, “what are some best tube suggestions I should consider buying in anticipation of receiving this amp?”

Thanks Grattle how's that zdt Jr treating you ? Miss that amp sometimes I consider the sw51+ and ZDTjr as siblings.

 

my takeaway from impressions is main diff is ZDT/Laconic is more colored? is this true? any other diff? only heard the mighty SW51+. *wrong thread for this discussion.*

btw--if you don't know just how capable, amazing the SW is, you can read up on it here. I think there may even be another impressions thread for it if you use the super search function.

 

Really it comes down to system synergy for me over which is better. I feel ZDT Jr was better with Aeolus than sw51+ for example.

Lol I think I posted this in the wrong thread. I got good meds so I'm probably a little loopy.

The amp is essentially pending ATM with more than one interested friend/contributor. When I can ship I will contact in order of who came knocking first. So for now it is spoken for basically. Appreciate the posts and pms with well wishes and good vibes. Looks like Friday/Saturday maybe a good shot at shipping it out depending on how much I improve until then. Thanks again everyone !

Elex still available but I'll probably be pretty interested in hearing them out of the sonnet 2 that's on the way so no rush.

 

It's great. I swap between it and the SW51+ a lot. I don't think I'll ever sell either of them.

Sw51+ sold BUT the Elex.... The Elex out of 28ohm XLR tap sounds amazing on sonett 2 so will keep for now.
