I'm donating whatever I can get from my he-4xx to sbaf.

I'm still the only one who went to the sewers willingly in the history of sbaf.

So here I am again. Hello, fellow turds.

After getting my "friend" badge, in light of being a nuisance, I decided to donate something.
I however bought a lot of stuff I probably don't need recently so I have no cash atm. Well shit.

Anyway, this is not really "for sale thread", so I won't be posting it there, although it sort of might be, well, whatever.

It's also not exactly for the donations thread, so I decided to go where I belong, where feels like home at sbaf, and that is here, amongst the best of the best.

I'm "selling" my hifiman he-4xx in absolute mint condition. Without any pads. With original pad mounting rings.
Whatever "I" get, I'm giving to SBAF. So you might even give directly to them in my name.
The very minimum is 50 USD. Let's give this a week and see how much you are willing to offer to the altar that is sbaf.
(I am a cringelord, deal with it, or don't, I don't care, but it might make me feel bad if you hurt me, but really, I don't care)

I'll cover shipping myself, unless you are a penguin and live on the south pole, then come get them yourself, penguins are resourceful.

I wanted to get ZMF oval or perhaps deconi audeze pads for them, but since I already have hifiman arya stealths and my lcd2f, I figured I'm not ever gonna use them. And I don't think it's a good idea to invest in some of these pads, and maybe change the headband, to just sell them. That would be the optimal combination for me, but perhaps not for someone else and it's just gonna increase the price.

So.
HE-4xx are very well behaved. There are measurements here, I think purrin made them. Very light for planars (lighter than aryas/edition xs etc), and relatively sturdy. The stock headband is .. OK, it doesn't hurt and is comfy enough, it does its job. I'd like it to be a suspension thing, but that's around 50 usd and a few hours of work to make happen...
Stock pads are just abhorrent so I tossed them some time ago. Yeah, sorry, not sorry. These have to go. It will change the tuning somwhat, aftermarket pads, so keep that in mind. I will have a calibrated clone GRAS iec 711 + soft pinna relatively soon, so if you wish, you can buy the pads and have them shipped to me, and I'll measure them once the 711 arrives (in a month, or so, on a slow boat from China).

50 usd should be a good minimal price, I think.
If someone from SBAF staff want's them instead of the cash for some reason, let me know, even better.

But it's really a solid offer, I think, more than so.
New ones are around 150 usd now at a discount. Granted, you get pads, but you get really shitty pads.
On ebay I haven't seen them under 100.
