I heard these towards the end of today's meet. Mainly because these got a lot of head time. I've heard them before and while they were very good, Milos still had to work out some details regarding the sound.

Well, I'm glad I did give them another try, and I'm glad @Audio Zenith urged me to bring up my "high tech" measurement rig.

The signature of these resembles the HD6x0 cans from quick impressions. These are IMO the best stats that I've ever heard. And unlike pretty much every Stax I've heard, these have balls. No "esoterical" sound. No lean-ness-ess. Smoothness as in you won't believe it's not butter, because it may be butter. Now available in stat format!

It the midst of Focal Utopia 5 kg of bright-ish-ness and openness (YMMV), HD800 analytical approach and endless mod-feast, Planar Hi-Fi-ostex cluster-something, and stat staleness (as in not much good new stuff going on) emerges this promising headphone, which is not shit.

    Milos, congratz!

Note that for these measurements, no out-of-our-way effort was placed into force the stats into the coupler to get non-limp-dick bass.

It appears the cans Milos put together, offer an approach more consistent with the B&K curve. Note above the driver matching is fantastic.

Compare to SR-007 and SR-207 (latter pushed heroically against the coupler to go below 20 Hz)... all measured at the same meet today.

If one is convinced that stats offer high quality sound due to their low distortion, and accuracy (add random speed definition also if so inclined), then hearing these should be on your top priority list.

Ask Milos to beautify these and make them available for purchase some day. Be afraid of the price though, given the $5 to $50 K "hi-end stuff" that have nothing on this.

Awesome! Just about looks like the HD650 equivalent of the original Orpheus if it were an HD600.

While the Orpheus was not present for this match, the baby Orpheus was there. And while it sounded very good, I think the Milos Orpheus Clone had the upper hand. Would have to spend more time with them though. They are both close to the sound I like.

Father nerdling (my term for Milos from the CS days), please send me your bank account details. Me needs to make a wire transfer before @MuppetFace gets any ideas.

    Yup.

The statement is conditional though, in the sense that it was meet impression and so forth. Either way, it's a great headphone. One of the best I've heard.

Looks better than before. No channel imbalance this time, even though only one of the drivers had the stators with the hole in it?
@n3rdling What are the changes compared to when Gilberto last measured them?

While I don't have a target curve for your rig, this looks really impressive. Is the 2i2 box always resting under the mic, with no box on the upper half of the coupler? In my case it made a big difference if there was a box behind the coupler material or not. I preferred the results without. Of course that means you have to think of a way to put headphones on it.
Do they sound slightly laid-back around 2kHz?

To qualify particular issues at 2 kHz or 300 Hz We would have to do more critical listening. As far as measurements, they would have to be performed under more controlled and quiet conditions. From what I can tell, I wouldn't worry about the 300 Hz blip. It could be a measurement artifact. I wouldn't worry about 2 kHz either.

For reference @n3rdling was driving these w the Blue Hawaii & @sorrodje amp (forgot the model but I might have a picture of it). I think the source was an Accuphase CD player.

Measurements were made using the 2i2 into @sorrodje amp.

I had milos Clone with me during two days. Listened to it during 5 hours in a quiet environment with my own music. Measured it as well ;) This headphone is definitely the real deal. Period.

Be back later with my full impressions and set of measurements (comparison with 009, HE60 and original Orpheus to come)

In olden times, a glimpse of stocking
Was looked on as something shocking
    Now, goodness knows; Anything goes!

I caught a glimpse of headband in one of the big-meet photo galleries, and, jaded has-been old ex-audiophile I may be, but... It made me want to see more! :D

I was able to listen to the clones back in January and was impressed then. Wasn't able to do it yesterday since it seemed to be in use every time I looked that direction. Looks like a @n3rdling home invasion is coming if the hype is getting more real. :D
