As a basshead you have me intrigued, would you happen to know how the dulce compares to the asg-2.5?

Me as well... I've yet to encounter a BA IEM that can compare to the asg...

Give up. DD bass timbre and oooomph are never going to happen on BA. BA lightening Blitzkrieg speed and tightness are never going to happen to DD. Pick your poison.

I honesty think hybrids should be attempted the other way around. Use the UERM bass drivers, double them up, then use a stiff diaphragm dynamic for the treble. Then you get the razor sharp bass of the UERM with potentially smooth and extended dynamic treble. Well, one can dream can't they?

Lol. Not a fan? I actually prefer DD in most cases, only a handful of hybrids sound coherent. If you can pull it off, they sound lovely.

@shotgunshane I wanted to get one of those DIY kits and play around with difference configurations. I've never done anything like that, but I'd imagine it would be extremely enjoyable.

Over the past year or so, I've been looking for a one or two Dynamic IEMs to add to my collection. I just can't find any that are universally accepted as TOTL. (I've heard good things about some of Sony's models but I'm allergic to ugly).

The bass isn't as "real" as the asg-2.5 (but it's as close as I've heard in a BA) but the rest of the ASG's sonic presentation did not jive with me.

Sony's sound better to me than the asg, as in not even close. I loved my asg for a long time too. But I prefer all 3 of my Sonys to it, and possibly the incoming Z5 as well. The EX800st, IMHO, is leagues ahead of the asg.

I completely agree about the looks... The Sonys are painful to look at... Very painful. Asg isn't that attractive either... But Noble, can't be beat looks wise.

@Warrior the K10 calls to you, yearning to share music with its warm, rich, yet clear and well extended siren song.

To be honest, I've never found and heard hybrid IEM that sounds very coherent (at least until now). I've tried ASG Harmony, AAW W500, AKG K3003, Hibino Oriolus, and some that I cant remember...

In my opinion, DD its very hard to combine with BA because of their sound characteristic nature while DD known for its long and lingering bass decay, and BA known for its fast, short and quick decay on high regions...

MAYBE @shotgunshane idea could works better...lol

I've come extremely close several times... Love the Heir 8.0... Figured I'd love the K10... Maybe one day. Might ease into it, start with a Dulce. ;)

@mulolomu ASG g2 /g2.5 is a winner. Tralucent (sorry Kunlun, I know you aren't a fan) is another favorite of mine, actually my favorite IEM ever. Hybrid with DD setup in isobaric chamber.

There are three out now, but 1plus2 is the original. I was referring to the Ref 1.

I spoke with Brannan at Noble about the new Savanna. I was a N4 owner but fell prey to the driver count wars. I asked him about the re-tune differences. He told me that they "massaged" the treble to smooth it out and also increased the bass presence a bit to fill in the bottom end.

So are those in production yet? The Noble thread on HF is the worst. The universal lines seems months behind and they never say anything useful.

Since Kanada has already got new alumi Nobles in stock, assume they're widely available.
