Was this a dual purpose system for home theatre and music listening?

In the beginning, I ran a Cullen modified Sonos and it sounded pretty awesome for music at the time. It was limited to 24/96 but I was more about recreating gunshots and explosions with tremendous visceral slam. Dialog and intelligibility was a high priority as well, and having solid extension to 10hz in room. That said, music was the best I heard even though it wasn't the main goal of the system. Sound was effortless.

Edit: forgot, multichannel True HD Eagles concert was sublime. Hotel California still the reference track!

NY crew is pooling in and bringing one 15" sub in for 2-way monitor + sub vs. floorstanders show down. :)

I just picked up one of the other 15" subs from Ron. Thanks to sphinxvc for letting me know!

Tempted to go dual at these prices for a true stereo image, but overkill for a 15x15 room with loads of other junk in it? As sub sound is non directional, I figure something this powerful should be more than enough.

    The speakers are sold.

The E15HP subs are in a holding pattern for potential system reintegration. FM8's and the D-Sonic amp is available. I may list a JTR 228-HT center channel that isn't pictured. These are 2015 additions to the HT.

That is one serious room. Did you used to live in the hills, Ron? In LA, listening to anything with gunshots on that gear will send helicopters overhead in seconds flat. And the room treatments, goodness. Would have loved to listen to that room.

Funny Ron did mention to me that gunshots in particular sounded crazy in that setup haha

There's a guy in Lakewood that has two holes cut into his hardwood, but raised floor, and uses it as an infinite baffle. Your room may still have beaten his for accuracy, but his might beat yours for earthquake simulation.
