My HT isn't quite as nice as yours, but I believe 7.1 sounds means 7 speakers and one sub, not 7 subs on one speaker.

You house must bounce on its foundation when you watch a movie!

Thanks god you don't have an SVS PB13Ultra or I'd be buying that too.

Oh god. Someone buy the E15HPs before I spend money I don't have on them.

f**k it, if some folks in the bay area want to go in with me and we can get Ron somewhat near us, I'll go in for one. Damn fine sub. Hard to DIY something this solid at this price.

another option for the FM8's, if anyone wants stereo subs for music, I can have Brian change over the crossover. The F8 is essentially the bass section for the Salk Soundscape 8: http://salksound.com/model.php?model=SoundScape+8

edit: actually these won't need to go back to Rythmik for low extension crossover modification, just flip the switch. Here's some info from Brian Ding of Rythmik:

It is designed so that in addition to be a subwoofer, it can also be used as a midbass module (to play from 50hz up to 250hz). The idea is that you send same signal to both say an E15 and FM8. You will send E15 to 50hz/24db (LPF), and you will set FM8 to this “high extension” position to play from 50hz up to 250hz (max).

Oh yeah, the D-Sonic has two empty slots and can be upgraded to make it a 7-channel amp at the factory.

I wish you weren't liquidating or I'd offer a trade for two of the 15s and the two 8s. I used to run 4 elemental designs E8As for mid bass and 4 E12As for sub bass and it was a really magical system. I can see those four woofers + some wonderful full range drivers and a super tweeter being one of the ultimate speaker systems around. Run fully active and run 2 Yggys and 2 gungnir multibits.

Pics of the old front stage when the HT was starting out, just to show the Ascend Sierra-1 arrays. These subs are Hsu Research ULS-15, not the Rythmik E15HP.

No, I had a Epik Conquest with 4 HSU MBM-12's in the front stage before the Sierra arrays were added. I went through a few more configuration changes, but this is pretty much how it started. I experimented a lot to achieve the experience I wanted out of my HT. That's my final room response at the main listening position before having to pack up the HT back in 2010.

Hell I'm so broke I can't even afford to look at these pictures.

You've probably made multiple people very happy campers with these deals this Christmas. Good on you RKML0007.

Amazing, and what I can only dream of at this point. Did you do that all yourself or pay someone to help you out? GiK panels?

@zonto - yes, good catch! GIK did the consult and evaluation. It's a combination of 242's, 244's, and Tri-Traps. Analysis was included with purchase of their panels.

With that HT juggernaut running at full tilt, keeping the contents of one's bowels stowed securely in place might seem a challenge.
