I wonder if supressed anxiety and anger (now finally leaking out) are the result of shitty user experiences of the computering age. I mean, dealing in records takes patience, but having Windows yet again perform an unrequested patch install and reboot, while I was in the middle of taking measurements last night, or Windows 10 changing the interface so logoff and shutdown functions are in different spots (WTF is this Cortana shit?) and harder to access than in Windows 7, makes me want to strangle Satya Nutella. The one thing I felt from Steve Jobs is that he actually tried to use the Apple products himself, and that he was very attuned to the user experience. If something pissed him off, even slightly, one of his R&D Admirals would have been Force stranged on the spot, with a more capable person being promoted to that job. (Anyone notice that the iPhone UI is a complete mess now since they've had to catch up with Android on multi-tasking functionality).
