Do you have more or less of it than the average person?

The average person believes they have more stress than the average person.

This week I had more stress than average. We had a robbery at gun point near work. Next day a lockdown due to an active shooter then an online threat a few hours later. All is well now. Hoping next week is boring.

Ron, that's a handful. The one time stress became hyper stress at work was after 9/11. Some joker delivered a packet of white powder to all of us on the trading desk with the message "This time I have you". In less than 5 minutes, we were surrounded by gun-toting military personnel and we were against the wall with our hands in the air. I don't drink but I suppose any alcoholic beverage would have been soothing :)

Who volunteers to be the average sample? For physical stress dummies will do.

Everyone has stress, but how would anyone know if they have more or less than the average person? :p

Not much stress, really, since finishing going to work in 2003. There was a bad batch renovating/decorating this house about eight years ago, since when, just the normal mutual annoyances of married life, which probably get exaggerated anyway.

In fact, although I might not have said so at the time, everything was idylic until a flood hit our house on December 1st. Recently, I came to think that thousands of people in this city, and in other places in the world featuring news pics of sodden possessions piled outside previously-comfortable homes, are suffering from post-trauma stress syndrome. But hey, life goes on. Music helps a lot and so does a little laughter.

I work in online ads during an election year. The stress is real, but I'm trying to carve out more time for decompression.

I think my salary is too low for me to become stressed at work... so I'm as relaxed as I can be. In total balance.

Almost a year now with our baby girl and much of it has been closer to blind panic, rage and despair. With the odd heart melting splash of cuteness to make up for it all.

It's such a relief to finally just feel stressed.
