Went today, soo much to see, show wasn't focused on headphones, but I did get to hear a lot of headphones, few notes from some of the key ones I haven't heard in person yet:

Audeze : LCD4s at the Chord booth, Sines at the Audeze booth. The Sines seemed well built but sound was not for me

Fostex X00s : They also had these at the Chord booth. They are a lot lighter than I expected with a light clamping force. I want to pick a pair, not sure if i want to wait for the next drop though...

MrSpeakers Ether Electrostats : They had two pairs, chatted with Dan and he said they've been updated since CanJam. There was a guy A/Bing them with Stax 009s when I was there, so i did not get a chance to directly compare them. Asked Dan on an ETA, he just smiled and said "this year"

 

Had a chance to go through all the rooms from floors 1-10.

My 3 favorite speakers today:

Acoustic Zen Crescendo
Sanders Sound Model 10
Evoke Speakers Eddie

A lot of the rooms were quite disappointing. So many speakers just sound wrong.

Apparently these speakers have been at Guitarcenter for a while.
And the Soundanchors are height adjustable. That room was heavily treated behind with bass traps. They are $2,999 each, and are powered. These were so good, it almost ruined me for the rest of the show.

Pretty nice, Marv should listen to them.

 

The room in the 3rd or 4th with the Microzotl, and the other one with the Voxative are delicious, too.

 

Room 208! I haven't even heard it. I wish I could trust a single other person I'm with to watch the headphone booth. Currently pretending there are no other rooms.

 

Check out the Manley headphone amp. I think it's actually pretty good.

 

Check out High Fidelity Cables! The voodoo magnetic plugs actually work.

 

Ooh, I missed those. Too many rooms, too little time. I saw @shaizada three or four times, walking around.

 

Thought this setup at ampandsound sounded unreal. Dark Side of the Moon was playing and it was so damn captivating. Better than anything I've ever heard (especially digital setups).

 

The power amp was surprisingly tuneful, which was not my previous experience with OTL amps.

 

I thought it sounded really good with the LCD-3, which is not normally a sound I like. I am now really curious to hear it as a preamp. They have 30 or 20% off for the show as well?
