T.H.E. Show Newport: June 2 - June 5, 2016

FYI, the Newport audio show is coming up in SoCal:

Not sure if we'll have anything new to show, but I will have the Dharma 1000's, Stax 009, Audio Zenith PMx2, Rag, Gungnir Multibit, and a bunch of my usual gear.

I am trying to have a pair of Stax L700's available, but I am relying on Tats at Stax USA, so who knows...
I am also supposed to have a pair of Taction Kannons.

Also, I have 4 exhibitor, 3-day passes available. Not really sure how to distribute them fairly, but I guess first come first serve is fair enough. PM if you are going to come for sure and want a pass.

If I give you a 3-day pass and you don't show up, you will be publicly shamed!

I took a day off to be there on Friday! Probably come by again on Sunday too.

 

Looking through the vendor list there doesn't seem to be too many headphone related vendors. Of course, I just went to CanJam where it was headphone overload.

I mean, I'm still going to go, but just wondering.

You missed Kimber Kable and Manley Labs, who will probably have their very taste-dependent designed new headphone amp, and us, Linear Tube Audio, who'll have a corner booth with Cypher Labs on one side and Audioquest on the other. We'll also be in room 208, with the headphone amp playing preamp to our power offerings with Vapor Audio bringing speakers and Resonessence on DAC duty.

Even though this will be my first T.H.E Show, I have no idea how the booth traffic will be based on the marketplace. Hopefully between the lost speaker dudes and the record collectors, there will be some interest.

 

I'll be there Saturday and Sunday. Do we want to get dinner one of those days?

I'll be there today (internal), Friday, Saturday and Sunday half day or so. We can do dinner possibly. Lots of good places to ear nearby...

@drfindley will be with me as well pretty much this week.

 

I'll be there part of Saturday, probably won't be able to stay for dinner though. My wife is gone that day and can't get a babysitter, so I'll be the guy walking around with an SBAF shirt and a baby.

 

Looks like I'll be there for a while on Saturday, but otherwise not so much. The guys wanted to do a speaker setup, so I let them do a speaker setup. It's Yggdrasil/Rag, and I think Salk speakers. No clue, I didn't pick them.

 

I guess I'm in for Sunday.

Want to check the Spatial stuff. On the fence of getting the M4 or M3...
