This is what I was thinking. I would think a 20% off of A-Stock would be a Black Friday type deal. Nike is doing 25% off of clearance items that are already reduced and A-Stock - that makes more sense to me.

I'd agree that it's a bit of a confused message -- packaging B-stock as a limited-time only sale -- but I don't see anything wrong with Audeze promoting it in the way they are doing. It's a unique event for them as far as I'm aware, and they are very clear about what you are buying after you click through to the details. Seems like a smart business move to capitalize on Black Friday to generate interest and let shoppers make up their mind on how much they care about cosmetic imperfections in otherwise production-ready cans.

Well if you consider resale value and the amount you lose I would say you are either taking a bath or these are going to be your #1 headphone.

What's up with Audeze resale value? I was always thinking their second-hand phones sell with minimum discount, that's why it does not make a lot of sense in getting a used one. Or are you getting to the fact that they are damaged and unsellable?

I'm talking about the fact that Audeze B-Stock with things such as imperfections take a value hit on the resale side. Audeze does have a good resale value IMO.

Hadn't considered the resale value angle, but resale wouldn't enter into anywhere near the top of my list of considerations if I was shopping for $1K+ headphones. SQ, FR, scalability, ergonomics, yes. Resale, not so much, but that's just me.

If you're wondering, Thomann.de is a legit site. They're helping me through the process of getting a refund/replacement for an ESI Juli@ XTe I ordered from them.

The packaging was drenched in water when I received it from the USPS.

    Damn, that's screwed up.

But yes, not personally from Germany but this is one of the most legit sites that ships globally with no problems. And they have a pretty neat portfolio, with the lower dollar/euro it's well worth it. Just keeping in mind that the 30 days money back guarantee is Germany only, I do know they honor it for most country's local laws of return policy.
