Yeah the app is crap. In my case it's unresponsive like it has a modal dialog in the background. With web I can't do bitperfect streaming.

I found the 64-bit app to be utter shite, constantly freezing. The 32-bit version works fine for me though. Sadly, the Qobuz catalogue has a lot of gaps if indie rock/electronic is your thing (compared to Tidal for example).

Tried the 32-bit app, it seemed to be working at first until I tried to actually play a song, then froze. How does this even qualify as "beta"

I’m quite attached to the Gungnir A1’s presentation, and I hear those two get further away from it. Ironically the GA2 more than the YA2.

@e.schell I made one, or more accurately my friend made it for me. I haven't tried that many tube combos but the only thing I like so far is rca gray glass in all 4 spots. Tried Ken-rad clear glass staggered plates, thought it was little thinner and not as good bass impact. Sylvania is good neutral tube but doesn't have the bass I'm looking for.

This is highly related to my system synergy though, getting a little extra bass out of the gumbreya allows me to use all NOS 45s in my amp and get better overall SQ that way. Otherwise I had to use half EML 45s to get the best bass, but then soundstage takes a hit.

@e.schell Haha, just saw that HF ad, thought "damn, someone already bought all the good ones" then saw it was you! Those were pretty good deals.

They seem somewhat readily available on ebay around $300/pair, though who knows how many are good. I didn't want to pay that much so waited patiently and got 4 for $375, supposedly testing near NOS levels. Fortunately they sound great.

Those are some crazy prices. Usually the fear is they don't work or are heavily used. Awesome deal!

When it works the SQ is very impressive for a portable, easily beats Pono player (using HD650). The scroll wheel is basically unusable without some kind of mod. I'll post impressions once I get a replacement since mine is defective.
