Just a quick note...i f@#$ing loved what you wrote on your Aug 6 post above! Your approach, philosophy, and transparency are above reproach.
Ive absolutely enjoyed Jasons writings on head-fi for a long time but this is first taste i got of your take on things...its awesome.

It also continues to reinforce my love and brand loyalty to Schiit. There are zillions of options out there for audio consumers.
As a headphone fan for years, my transition to amps/dacs came with a magni 1 purchase a few years ago. Blew me away.
Since then ive purchased and enjoyed several other Schiit products and have never been anything but 110% satisfied.
You guys create amazing and really fairly priced gear and above that really give a shit about your target audience.
Thats commendable.

Thanks for doing what you do and keep it up. Also let Jason know that the "zagnut guy" says hi.

There is a difference between shilling someone's product and actually wanting a date with that someone.

A little bit of self awareness goes a long way....

I've seen the turntable a couple of times at Schiitr. The one time I walked into the 2 channel room and I think it was playing and it sounded great. On another occasion the person working there tried to get it working, but the tonearm was wobbling. Will hopefully make it out there this weekend and have a listen.

I wish it was a classic rectangular shaped turntable but in the end if it sounds great for the price that's what matters.

 

Thanks for the intro link Dino...sounds like good straight forward stuff aimed at creating an open environment for information exchange and constructive critique/feedback. Good stuff. Not sure i understand nor agree with the "lurk moar" comments in the intro..which claim new members shouldnt feel at home when joinging and consider themselves outsiders..thats overall negative/exclusionary/dismissive in tone and intent which is counter intuitive to the environment the rest of the intro is creating.

@landroni...not sure what a "schiit trolling bot" is, nor if it was directed at me? Typically trolling indicates negative comments for negatives sake. My comments are nothing but positive...based on substantial personal experience with the gear and company.

Hrmm..this forum is a bit of an enigma to me. Ive reread both the introduction for new members as well as the top 10 list of “how you should post” to reduce s/n ratio. There's a fair amount of contradiction within both in terms of intended site purpose VS rule setting and content limiting. Additionally the comments on this thread after I posted my reply to @Balder have been overall negative or judgmental in tone.

No worries and no problems, it appears y’all have a forum you like and you do not want new input, comments, or members. I’ll avoid posting on your forums.

Best wishes to y'all...we share an interest at seeking out high quality audio reproduction. There’s tons of options out there and helping each other find the best quality gear, across price ranges and needs, is good stuff. Keep on keepin on and finding new, exciting, great sounding gear.

If there is a post on SBAF about how to reduce signal can we please delete it? Maybe it's a post on headfi about how to use "the other" site.

 

I wouldn't count a post that sounds like a gush letter sent to Teen Beat magazine as "signal". Maybe this place isn't for you, and that's cool. That said there have been a few people who started off on the wrong foot here and have actually contributed content going forward.

A key red flag that probably hasn't helped you is that you read those guidelines and still didn't bother to introduce yourself.

On a related note there is the issue of noise. To be honest I was very close to posting that point above earlier (before you got your own thread) but I stopped myself because I did not want to take that Schiit turntable thread further off topic. The natives are very sensitive about noise and yes allowances are given to "friends". That doesn't make this forum an "enigma", it makes it more of a community. I'm no insider here and I have much less to contribute than a good majority of the members but my enjoyment of the site is not directly correlated with the frequency of my posting. My advice to you is to do a lot more lurking before posting and/or abandoning this place.
