@Garuspik Hello! Congratulations with first tens, if not of shipped headphones!
Could you, please, give some Frequency Response Measurement for the final shiped version? I would like to make an EQ for my frind and myself.
    Thank you very much!

For whatever it's worth, I've had far more success EQing things by ear (when I do succumb to needing EQ). Measurements only reflect whatever's true to that specific rig, and unless your head is similarly made of fake skin and has no brains and bone inside it (;)) then measurements might not be accurate to what you're hearing.

@Garuspik Does the final production unit have these specs?

    94 dB/mW
    12 ohm

I agree that there might be some difference between hearing through the microphone and ears, but it depends on the rig.
Also, one of the best ways to measure that I saw is in-ear headphones with built-in microphones. Sure, it will be hard to find a place where this measurement will be done for specific headphones.

For me personally, I would rather wait for an SPL graph, than do it by my ears. It's much easier to do by the graph and only then correct something by my own ears.

Also, Harmann Curve looks like a typical b.s. Everyone, who's making an audio, is trying to make it and deliver perfectly to the listener and without any awful sound distortion curves. It's more like an excuse for bad headphones, rather than a measure of a good sonic specification.

Hello. Final units are ~95 db/mw 9 ohm.
I've increased a bit surface of membrane covered with silver and this decreased resistance.

Hello. Sure, I'll make it. And I'll post my rig. Please be beware it's a chinese copy of something that look like Gras from a distance of couple of meters ;)

    Hello,

I am very interested in these new headphones.

Can 9 Ohm really be true?

I thought the lowest headphones resistance was about 25 Ohm.

Is a 9 Ohm headphone working well with the usual headphone amps (the amps I use are: Cayin IHA-8 or McIntosh MHA-200)?

At present my headphones range from 25 Ohm up to 470 Ohm.

At the Verum Audio homepage the new Verum-2 is not marked as available or even mentioned.

Where to order when living in Germany?

    Greetings from Bavaria,
    Alexander

The initial run was funded on kickstarter, and the campaign is now closed. I'm guessing that there will be future runs on the Verum website

Just FYI, Verum 1 has 6-8 Ohm

I don't accept any additional orders till I send all Verum 2 units that were ordered via Kickstarter.
It would be simply unfair to people who supported me at the start of this project.
Sure, when I'll finish it - i'll start selling it via website\dealers\retailers and whenever I can.

    Thanks for the answers.

I did not see the Kickstarter campaign back in early 2024, as I came across Verum Audio just a few weeks ago.
I will wait until the first Verum-2 headphones can be ordered "normally" at the online-shop or in HiFi-shops here in Germany.

So even the low impedance is no problem for the usual headphone amps?

These days even a lot of the cheap headamps have very low Zout, and high output power even into something like an 8 ohm load, and amps like that should work fine. I have a Verum 1 here, plugging it into either Magni I have is perfectly fine.

A lot of amps wouldn't be fine. The TA-66 on my desk (very high Zout, not much output power) would be an example of something where this would be a problem.

Most DAPs or phone dongles should work if you’re wondering if you might have the right gear at hand.

Maybe tell us what you usually use.

    At home I use a Cayin IHA-8 and a McIntosh MHA-200.

My headphones at present are a Audio Technica ATH-R70x, Focal Elegia, DENON AHD-7200, Grell OAE-1.

So the Verum-2 would be a new and very interesting addition.

The IHA-8 is <1 Ohm output so the Verum should work well.

MHA-200…not sure as their spec lists that it has the lowest setting at 32-100 Ohm for headphones. You can try when you get a Verum and report back.

Congratulations @Garuspik on the excellent Verum 2.

I finally received my Verum 2 Kickstarter and so far it is excellent, I will post a much longer review on my review website soon (and cross post it here for those interested) - but I thought I would share some initial measurements (this is after listening / breaking in for a few hours):

I found it does vary especially in the treble with different seatings on my KB501X Measurement Pinna but in general these measurements are roughly what you should except. Subjectively, I had found when I was wearing glasses earlier in the day, I got a little bass boost and you can see that in these measurements. You can also see a little midrange forwardness between 1K-2K similar to the the earlier measurements. Overall I am very happy with it and I have nothing to complain about so far.

Here are a few photos also:

@jeromeof thanks for your impressions and support! Without community support Verum 2 will never happen.
Please tell me what is alt/alt2 graphs?

As you all see I traded response below 30 hz to boost 40-80 hz

P.s will be wait for detailed impressions.

Mines are on the way (thanks Garuspik!), but the Italian post is usually sluggish so I expect them to be stuck a while at customs. Will also post measurements as soon as I get them! Will be fun to pitch them against the old Ukrainian made Echo/Amphiton orthos (which I really like).

I guess I'm the last person in this hobby that bought a measurement rig :)

The "alt" are really just alternative "seatings" where I moved the Verum 2 to different angles to simulate how different people might wear the headphone. I will average all these up eventually in the Review, but it was really just a quick measurement as I was impressed with the bass extension and thought that it would handle wearing glasses very well which I think it does.
