I never had much time for The Absolute Sound and was slightly reluctant to click, but I am glad I did. An Excellent article. Sadly, prompted by the death of the inventor of a speaker system I always wanted to hear, but, so far, never did.

Probably the most significant producer that still recorded all analog. I really do find that his albums are much better sounding than most new music out there

 

This is just pretty shocking, having grown up and continuing to listen to so much of his work. RIP Steve, off to listen to some GY!BE Y.UXO. Goddamn you did drums so well, my friend.

 

His proposal for Nirvana's In Utero is quite the manifesto. I'm sure he knew it would appeal to them but gotta love it all the same.
