I use a pretty old Kindle Fire for almost all of my reading. I’ve considered getting a backlit e-ink model and maybe I will at some point. What do you like so much about it? The Fire isn’t great for battery life but I ONLY use it for reading so It’s on airplane mode unless I’m downloading a book.
@DigMe I love the newest Kindle Paperwhite, but have seen a gen or two older pop up used or refurbished around $40usd. Super steal if you can snag one.
My wife uses a Kindle, but I've been using my smartphone, all the way back to the Droid Eris in '09, to read ebooks with the moon reader pro app. Never felt the need to use a separate device, plus I like having it with me anywhere I go.
I'll admit that I probably do read more on my phone than my Kindle since it is always with me, however, the Kindle is a much more comfortable read so I make sure to have it when traveling or when I have decided to power through a book.
I used to read on my iPad more but my son often wants to use it. I don’t like reading on my phone for some reason. I guess the Kindle feels more booklike
Nowadays Kindle and Fire are two separate lines: Fire for LCD Tablets while Kindle is for E-Readers. LCD screens hurts my eyes after a while. Books and Manga reads best on a E-Reader. Can't read on smartphones because it just doesn't look natural to me.
Won't be a thing anytime soon. Also, I have no Manga that uses color. Do you guys wants me to make a tread about e-Ink products? I did spend more time with some products as of late.
