Make a thread, show pictures, detail what you've done, post measurements
How could you impolitely say it? I don't think it's a subject that demands politeness.
I'm with DigMe, would be very curious to hear what you've done to help eke out more resolution out of those cans! (1/2)
Just a thing though, as per the old HD800 thread it's kinda hard to compare your own measurements to those posted by others (cuz of differences in rigs and methodologies), so before and after measurements on your *own* rig with parameters that make seeing differences easier would be very awesome; I remember your old CSDs looked weirdly low-res, settings could have used some tweaking. Show ur work like on a school paper, not just the answer.
You can't damp, resonate, waveguide, or mass-load resolution into existence if the drivers aren't putting it out to begin with. Best case scenario, maybe tighten things up in the low end, reduce ringing, and smoothen any peaks in the response. I'll believe it when I see it measured and hear it with my own ears.
Send 'em on tour and see if ears who've heard other mods agree!
I have a Fostex purple heart to show as an example. drivers are moded to get the increased performance.
