the mods on these are way more KISS vs most ESX sets. No front filter needed. Love em, will miss em.

    Interesting! I have a few Q’s.
    1) Authentic R10 cup (esoteric cherry wood I believe) or similarly cloned ones?
    2) Is ‘before’ th900+r10 cup? Or th900 full original?

    Looks super nice anyway.

    1. Tbh... I don't know! They don't look like any of the clones I've seen. But they don't have the funky baffle either.

    2. Before is still with the R10 cups, just without the cup treatment and pad swap

Where did the cups come from?

Does that shape do anything to reduce cup resonance?

    Very cool Ev!

The owner sent them to me and got them from someone else. I wish I knew their original source! The lack of parallel surfaces in the cup relative to the driver seat lets me get away with using a lot less cup damping for a similar tonal result vs other cups.

I also notice the larger cup volume also gives me a closer to 'open air' response in terms of having fewer broad bumps when comparing cups off vs on. With deep cups that do have parallel surfaces, I get a stubborn middle mid hump and upper mid dip. These don't have that.

If you are ever curious to play with some cups that would fit T50RP, I'm sure we could make you some :)

My mod requires vents so wood cups become difficult. But we could do something like Zach does. I'll keep it in mind!

Looks interesting. How does it compare to the stock cups?
