I was kind of waiting for it to happen. Since we just moved in we have a home warranty but they take forever to move.

Oh dang! Happened to us as well and took 3 days to finally get a repair person to come to our house. They just gave it a couple pounds of freon. Luckliy for us, he had not burned through his year's supply of R122 yet.

I have a feeling it might just be more than refrigerant but we’ll see. Better for that to happen now than after our home warranty runs out because I never have renewed those things after the year that you get with move-in.

If it won't start up, then it may just be a starting capacitor.

I tested the capacitors and they’re good.
