This is why I will hole up at home for the 2 weeks prior to a planned trip to Japan this fall. Won't risk a trip 3 years in the making.

Caught it 12 days ago. Not recommended. I also semi-deserved it, stopped masking awhile ago and declined the third shot but BA.5 also appears to not care anyway. I had a moderate case that was worse than a lot of people I talked to. I will be boosting in the future.

Some of my friends have gotten Covid-19 too recently. I will be very careful in the Fall and the Winter. I hope the anti-vax crowd will learn from history.

The only thing the anti-vax have learned is that they're not dead yet. Of course, they won't change their mind.
