They love the music not the gear

I like the sentiment, but I would take a pair of apple earbuds over one of those tho...

Do they really love the music or do they just wannabe "into vinyls"?

It looks like a "retro" gadget to me, bit of a fashion thing. But I have to ask: is it actually that bad?

The world always had gramophones that worked, but didn't claim audiophile status. Some of us grew up with them.

If it is decent for the price, fair enough.

I was trying to remember a vinyl guy. then I remembered they were Polythene, not vinyl (and not a guy): Pam.

The Crosleys are awesome if they get kids hanging out in Urban Outfitters to become true vinyl lovers. I was in NYC's Turntable Lab before the brick 'n mortar store closed and saw a cute elderly couple spend ages with the sales rep picking out a decent setup for their granddaughter who wanted an upgrade.

Friend’s daughter asked for and got a Victrola brand turntable over a year ago when she was 15 and I was glad to recently see that she is still enthusiastically buying vinyl. Like many people I think she enjoys the tactile experience after having grown up in the digital world and she enjoys music as well.

Had to laugh today at Walmart when I saw a Crosley turntable and the biggest ad copy words on the box were “Big bass!”

Actually it was Victrola I think, not Crosley. Similar market.
