Wasn't she literally Macedonian Greek with some Persian ancestry? Are people too stupid to do their homework? I think the answer is yes. But I'd have to do my homework on that.
She definitively came from the Ptolemaic dynasty, which like you said was ethnic Macedonian. She probably looked like any other Southern European woman at the time—wouldn’t have been out of place in Roman streets when she traveled there after having seduced Caesar.
But if the implication here is that Black stories, heroes and history are being silenced or white-washed. However instead of trying to make a historically-known whitish woman Black, if tne studios actually wanted inclusion, they would focus on the actual, complicated & fascinating history of the rest of the continent:
Animated West African folktales told on the big screen, a drama of the empire of Axum, or a tv series of the rise of medieval Zimbabwe. North Africa is just a small part of the huge, fabulous tale of the an entire continent’s rich history.
That place is gross now it's a bunch of old people that use it as their personal Facebook page. Say anything they don't agree with and they get like 6 of their friends together and complain to the mods. I'm still banned from the Amazon vinyl deals thread cuz I kept saying how everything they shipped me was trashed during shipping and that Amazon sucks.
