I'm not too concerned. Harman has a pretty good track record of not ruining their niche acquisitions. The question is what Roon will be obliged to do growth-wise. Scummy SaaS practices can kill enthusiast interest.
Samsung has a habit of keeping bespoke software platforms around, unlike Oracle. As an example, Samsung has owned BMC Marimba for a while and slapped the Harman name in front, but hasn’t changed anything else with it.
Not holding my breath that Harman will fix Poon's bag of shite system for classical music. Why the bloody thing feels the need to list the wanking translator of the liner notes while not being able to ID composers is beyond me.
