Was eyeballing some iFixit kits, but wondering about quality.

Wiha for life, made in Germany! (Although I've been finding that their quality is decreasing, find the older German ones off ebay or something. Those would be cheaper than Amazon too. Their old ones are amazing.)

Like Wera quite a bit, but I've use the iFixit on cars so, actually its all depends for what. Something specific you want to daily a Wera Kraftform Micro is great, some coverage for a random thing all organized iFixit will work and fairly affordable. Electrical panels grab a Wiha.

Newer Technology from Parts Express I think about a decade ago, not so great. Let us know if you find a grail. Have Wiha 26197 on my Azon wish list, just not sure.

Vessel in Japan looks good but for some reason I can’t find a large set with with +20 drivers. you basically need to buy them individually

I have a Wera Toolcheck Plus for "normal but portable" work, and a Klein 32717 precision screwdriver set for the small stuff. Both have served me well.

@ext1 The Wiha quality is decreasing because they aren’t made in Germany anymore. New drivers are made in Poland. If it doesn’t say Made in Germany on the handle, it’s made in Poland. This is a recent change within the last few years. Wera is my choice now.

@TheIceman93 Yep I noticed that - the handle turn is a lot stiffer and it impacts my workflow when making headphones. So I still use my older German ones for important use but use the newer ones for lesser duties. Why is everyone moving away from better production in Germany? Looking at you Senn...

I'd get "Bahco Precision Screwdriver Set" over Wera precision minis. These have rubber grips and can handle some torque. Good materials used. Weras are collecting dust, because the Bachos are more handy..

A Romanian friend of mine was a big fan of Bahco and it’s good to know their microdrivers are nice

I ended up getting a few Wera individual micro screwdrivers. Very nice. They are made in Poland, but of noticeably better quality than cheaper ones I have tried so I am happy for the price. I ordered a Toolcheck set to replace the rest of my larger bits. My current iFixit set will suffice for random electronics repair. TY all.
