    You are correct in calling out the masturbatory and narcissistic wit this (self-proclaimed) Brit is so proud of condescendingly deploying, to his own rhetorical peril, in a community whose sensitivity to nuances of language and intellectual sophistication exceeds his premature estimation.

    This is a step above pseudo-intellectualism because not as bad as Nwavguy polecisicm yet still mired in self-righteous irony and understatement just for the sake of it. This is the bad side of British culture, and I have many friends who are British.

    I'm glad you asked.

    My knowledge comes from years of experience with my wireless 7.1 surround sound PS3 headset. Where I first started to truly believe in burn-in.

    They are at a level now (spatially) where they can compete with the 800/800S, and have roughly 392 hours on them - mostly made up of pink noise, white noise, no noise and loops of Spanish Harlem.

    Jason @ Source AV even mentioned that he has a special track or sets of tracks dedicated for burn-in. No, I haven't obtained them. I'm sure many of us have special burn-in procedures ranging from running PN, WN, drum tracks, Celion Dion tracks, making dead animal offerings to the gods, sacrificing gear to photos of Jude on an altar, etc.

    Whether it's brain burn-in or real physical changes, I highly doubt it's going to make the Elear sound more like the HD650, Andromeda, <insert head/ear phone with great FR> to the super demanding NY guys.

    Also, remembering what Jason had mentioned to OJ and I, I burned in the Elear from the 13th to the 15th for a total of 72 hours (with low level white noise) in addition to the few extra hours I had listening to it for pleasure before I shipped them off. Just in case.

    i enjoy listening to music through the headphones in need of burn-in, all while keeping myself in a constant state of blue-balls-stasis, talk about real physical changes happening over time. eventually things really open up if you will and sound/ feel totally different.
