    Thanks @sphinxvc

I just realized needing to buy/make these cables is definitely going to further persuade me to buy this eventually :D

Yes that looks like a 125 Volt 10A power cable that most, if not all Schiit products use. If someone can confirm this that would be great, otherwise I will have to buy the correct power cord - but I would need to know the specifics such as what voltage the Power Cord needs to be and type (i.e 10A)

I better grab some balanced cables to go to my amp before this comes 'round the mountain. Can't wait to compare!

I should have the ESI Juli@ XTe to perform reasonable measurements once it gets here.

Same thing for my Schiit Bifrost and Valhalla 2 - I just want to be sure I have the correct power cord.

You have the correct power cord, @The Alchemist. Its the standard one used for PCs or audio components. I'll see if I can confirm that spec you posted, but I'm 99% sure.

Shipping Gungnir Multibit out to jmcmasterj today to accommodate a request from Colgin to be bumped down.

For those with power cable concerns, let's bat signal @schiit...

Jason, can you confirm that a 125v 10a power cable will work on Gungnir Multibit?

And while you're at it, can you confirm that any standard power cable will work? To get super specific, I'm defining standard power cable as cables with the IEC 320 C13 socket and NEMA 5-15-P plug.

    Thanks in advance.

Go ahead and take me off the reserve list, I may just pick up one of these. I've decided I need more than a few days with a DAC if I'm going to try to listen out differences in them. Thanks!

We expect that extreme sonic improvements (on the order of "seeing god") are possible when the miles of standard aluminum wire connecting you to the power plant are replaced with Cardas silver wire. However, at a cost of $53.5 million (give or take), this is an unfeasible strategy for improving your power.

As far as the power cord goes, yep, it's a power cord. Same as on a tower computer, monitor, etc...

Personally I was thinking of installing one of these:
That ought to keep all the electrons in line.

With the high winds and power interruptions here today, I kind of wish I really did have one of these, or at least a 20KW single phase. That one is 440V 3 phase, 100 KW.

Yes, I remember reading the same hard-to-dispute logic used in a discussion about DSL cables going from the modem to the wall socket. A phone company engineer commented " it won't make much difference considering it connects to 2 miles of old copper twisted pair phone line ".

So apparently the PM-2 was removed from the loan ? No message appeared about that, so I am curious as to what happened.

Gungnir Multibit is #1 on my list of desired loans, so it's all cool, and I really appreciate being able to hear it. But the PM-2 was #3 on my list, and so that would have been good to see in the box...

The Oppo PM2 I believe was allocated instead to Australia/New Zealand crew loaner first but no worries we will get these on tour in the US once they return.

Gungnir Multibit arrived! I will be comparing it to the the Bifrost Multibit above. Unfortunately, my Lyr 2 is "sick", so I'm listening out of the Vali instead.

@jmcmasterj - do you have your Lyr 2 set as a solid-state amp with LISST?

Yes, I'm using the LISST with the Lyr 2. I have tubes as well, but I like the LISST with the Bifrost Multibit.

    @sphinxvc Thanks for the update!

@paranoidroid I don't mind having it for a couple of days because I just wanted to do a quick comparison to my very cheap vinyl setup to see if I want to go the DAC route. I see that you're in SF. If this is cool with sphinxvc, I can just hand it off to you after a couple of days (I'm in Oakland) if you don't mind having it for 2-3 days and willing to ship it to the next person. Let me know!
