Yes I guess I should be clear, it does work with a regular OTG cable for devices capable of powering it, however I am trying to get it to work on a device where an external power source is also needed. For some reason an OTG cable with y-split that I bought doesn't work although it is powering the V2 on.

Have bought another cable to see whether it is just a problem with the cable I bought.

I picked up a new Y-cable and now it works! I guess the first cable was dodgy...

Any word on a GO V3? Hoping they'll upgrade build quality.

After having to return my GOV2 three times now (on this latest return, they received it 2 weeks ago and haven't even acknowledged it), there's little chance of me ever buying a GOV3. It's particularly disappointing to see that the GOV2+ is getting a better case and upgraded internals, while the non-+ is still stuck with the same bullshit case and dodgy LEDs. LH Labs has definitely squandered any goodwill I ever had for them.

I agree, the sound is so good but the service and build quality are so bad. It's a shame because once you lose a customer it's much harder to ever get them back.

We should probably start a vendor complaint thread. It's too bad because the new version with the metal chassis and special caps is pretty good. SE better than Mojo. Balanced, it walks away. Nothing is perfect though. The Mojo got awfully hot while I was charging it and emitted some strange smells. I hope this isn't another Dreamliner battery situation.

Told you. I don't know MSRP but I am assuming somewhere around half of the Mojo.

yes I've done this with a 3.5mm to dual rca cable. Just leave the pc/source device at 100% volume and adjust on the preamp or integrated amp. gov2 is as good as a lot of desktop dacs, I wouldn't be ashamed of using it this way :)

Was checking out the GO2A page and then popped over to the GOV2+ page to find one of my comments on it there too (first one under great feedback)! That's awesome!

The Mojo is a pain in the ass running while charging, but it has a very conservative thermal cutout. This summer, I couldn't use it as a DAC while charging on hot days, as it'd just keep switching itself off. I took it out of its little (official) case, kept overheating. I stood it on its edge to increase airflow, kept overheating. The only option was to charge or play. It's no fun listening to music when you're constantly on-edge in case your DAC cuts out. Being limited to how much charge you have left is no fun, either- just come home and want to listen to music? Good luck.

That's what led me to picking up a little Modi Multibit, as I know that won't switch itself off constantly on a warm day.

It's one of the Mojo's biggest flaws, I'd say, and one that potential purchasers should be aware of. However, I suspect that it errs seriously on the side of caution, and is very unlikely to pull a Note7.

Is it still possible to order a GO2A signature edition? All I see on the LH labs page is regular and infinity.
